Student art show is coming up! SJC students are welcome to check out the art in our social area tomorrow before it is transferred to the heritage building for the show.

SJC will be hosting Registration Evenings to allow students to select their courses and options for the 2022-2023 school year. All registration evenings will run from 4-8pm in the SJC gym on the following dates: Current Grade 9s (going into Grade 10 next year): Thursday May 26 Current Grade 10s (going into Grade 11 next year): Monday May 30 Current Grade 11s (going into Grade 12 next year): Tuesday May 31

This week marks Catholic Education Week in the province of Alberta. Please join us as we celebrate the gift of publicly-funded Catholic education and remember to wear blue on World Catholic Education day this Thursday (May 26). #IBelieveinCatholicEd #wearblueforcatholiced

SJC’s Inclusion Club is proud to present our 2nd Annual Anti-Racism Day on Wednesday, May 25. This day was created to provide a safe space for ongoing growth and learning in the area of active anti-racism, how to be an ally and to create an inclusive environment in our school. May 25th was chosen to honour and memorialize the anniversary of George Floyd’s death. On this day, we will participate in a variety of school wide activities and hope that you will join us in taking the steps toward making SJC an inclusive place for all. We welcome you to wear a black shirt tomorrow to stand in solidarity with all those who face racism in our society and around the world.

THIS WEEKEND!

The SJC Crusaders Badminton team had a great weekend.    We started on Friday with 2 doubles teams heading off to Medicine Hat to compete in the 2 day 2022 Badminton Provincials.  It was an awesome experience  that these grade 10 students were grateful to have.   On Saturday,  four Gr 9 doubles teams headed to Okotoks to compete in the South Central Zone Championship.  The teams came back with 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.  Congratulations!!!!.    SJC would like to thank our coaches for all their time, effort and expertise.   Thank you; Mr. Meyer, Mrs. MacArthur, and Mrs. Wiens.  SJC appreciates you!! #defendtheshield #gocrusaders 🏸

Our residents at Newbrook lodge would like to express their gratitude to St. Joseph's Collegiate for their time and effort. You guys went above and beyond with these easter baskets! The residents appreciated and loved them! 🧺🐣🪺

SJC volunteer club delivered Easter Baskets and wishes to Brooks Assisted Living facilities this afternoon. 🐣 💐

1 Timothy 6:18 says "to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share. " Thank you SJC for your good works and generosity this Lenten season. Through our Personal Assistant for the Day event, our raffle basket and our Wrestlemania PPV, we have raised $4,200 for Chalice, which will be donated to our Sister School, Miurine Primary School in Kenya to be used to cement their classroom floors. Photos and videos from our fundraising events will be shared after Easter break.
