New This Year - Locker Pick-Out is Coming Get ready for another great year at SJC! Students in Grades 10-12 are invited to come to SJC to choose their locker and pick up their lock before school begins! Grade 10 - August 24 Grade 11 - August 25 Grade 12 - August 26 Time - 10am to 2pm each day. Grade 9 students - No need to come early! Grade 9 students will have a locker and lock assigned to them and will receive everything they need on their first day of school. Can’t make your scheduled day? No problem! High school students who are unable to come on the dates above can visit the school office when they return to school on August 31 to receive a lock and choose an available locker. Fewer than two weeks until school starts! We cannot wait to see you again to start another fantastic year here at SJC! 💚💙

It’s almost time! Student schedules will be available on PowerSchool starting August 21, 2026. Please note, some changes may have been made to schedules since course selections were completed in the spring to help us maintain smaller class sizes, balance sections, and respond to the needs of our school community. Students who would like to request a course change may come to the school on their assigned day to meet with Mrs. Schell, Mr. Willemsen, Mrs.Hammer, or Mrs. Petkus: Grade 10 - August 24 Grade 11 - August 25 Grade 12 - August 26 Please remember that course changes are dependent on course availability, prerequisites, graduation requirements, and class sizes. Grade 9 students: once you return to school on August 31, you may come to the office to book an appointment to discuss your schedules. SJC was blessed to have Dr. Ben Tutolo come to our school to visit our Science classes this week. Dr. Tutolo is a NASA scientist currently working on analyzing data about Mars from the Curiosity rover. With our students, he discussed the rover, the carbon cycle on Mars, and the science done by the research team; he then listened to presentations by students on what they had been learning in class about Mars. Thank you, Dr. Tutolo, for coming to our school to learn with us.

🚀 **SJC Explores the Future at STEM For a Day!** 🚀 A massive shoutout to **CF Industries** and **Medicine Hat College (MHC)** for hosting SJC and other local schools for an unforgettable **STEM For a Day**! Our students stepped out of the classroom and into the labs for a fully supported, hands-on experience.
