Wishing an abundance of blessings this Thanksgiving weekend to all SJC staff, students and families. Reminder: There will be no school on Monday, Oct. 9 for Thanksgiving Day and Tuesday, Oct. 10 as staff will participate in professional development. Students will return to class on Wednesday, Oct. 11. Have a safe and happy weekend! 🍂🍁

SJC, CTK & HFA Parent Councils are excited for the return of Trick or Trivia Fundraiser: A Night on the Red Carpet! Oct 27- 7:00 pm in the SJC/CTK Gymnasium $240/ table of 8 people or $30/ person Trivia, games, contests, silent auction, and so much more. Tickets are on sale at the school offices. Payable by cash or cheque. This is sure to be a fabulous event and we hope to see you there!

Did you know Orange Shirt Day references a real orange shirt taken from a residential school Survivor? Orange Shirt Day is also an opportunity to discuss the effects of residential schools and their legacy. The day honors the experiences of Indigenous Peoples, celebrates resilience, and affirms a commitment that every child matters. Tomorrow, September 29th, we are asking all staff students to participate by wearing an orange shirt to show that every child matters. #OrangeShirtDay #EveryChildMatters #Treaty7Territory

On Tuesday, October 3rd SJC will be participating in the Terry Fox Run with a goal of raising $1000 for the Terry Fox Foundation (equal to a Toonie for every staff member and student). On Tuesday, October 3rd #TryLikeTerry and bring a Toonie to donate to cancer research. You can also donate using the link below. #DearTerry #MarathonOfHope
