The Gr 9 Badminton players took part in the Grasslands Zone Qualifiers at the end of April with top results sending players to zones! A silver medal was earned by James and Gold medals were earned by Bryer, Elysha/Gabrielle, Eduardo/Gab, Sheekyna/Gabriel. Also joining the team at zones will be Tyson/Malachi! What an amazing Season by our Senior Badminton team! This season we had 27 athletes qualify to compete in the South Central Zone Championships, our highest number to date. Our team did a great job representing SJC, finishing as the top 3A school and 2nd overall in the 3A/4A race for the Zone banner! Last weekend, our Grade 9s headed to the MEGA tournament in Medicine Hat where many of our teams made it to playoffs, with James Sanchez finishing 4th and Bryer Schuett earning herself a bronze medal in singles. Meanwhile, the Senior/Junior team competed in Lethbridge with many players advancing to playoffs. Top results were Rhianne Cardona and Jon Pagdilao finishing 4th in Mixed Doubles and Jon Pagdilao earning bronze in Junior Boys Singles. #SJC #GoCrusaders #SJCBadminton #DefendTheShield
