Badminton Season is now in full swing! So far the Sr team with coach Mr. Riley Schuett and staff rep Miss Megan O’Neill has participated in the BCHS and the Strathmore High Tournaments finishing with 4 top three finishes including: Benedict A & Tom R - 2nd at BCHS (no photo available) The Gr 9 team coached by Mrs. Liza Bauyon and Mrs. Mary Ann Sarmiento will be headed to their first tournament in Medicine Hat on April 1st. #DefendTheSHIELD #GoCrusaders

Next THURSDAY, MARCH 30th, Student Council will be hosting a “PERSONAL ASSISTANT FOR THE DAY” event! SJC students will have the opportunity to hire SJC staff for a day by the group/student with the highest wage/donation. All donations will go to Chalice as part of our Lenten Almsgiving Campaign. YOU’RE INVITED! On April 20th, at 10:00am & 6:30pm, we would like to invite all interested parents to attend a GRADE 9 information session at our school. During this presentation, we will talk about our school community, programming options for Grade 9 and give a tour of our school. We will also discuss information that is important for parents and students to know and understand regarding student success in Grade 9. We highly encourage Grade 8 parents whose children will be in Grade 9 next year to attend one of these sessions. On April 26th, at 10am & 6:30pm, we would like to invite all interested high school parents to attend a GRADE 10-12 information session at our school. During this presentation, we will talk to you about high school credits and pathways to graduation and post-secondary, and will discuss other information that is necessary for parents and students to know and understand regarding student success in high school. We highly encourage Grade 9 parents whose children will be in Grade 10 next year to attend one of these sessions. **This will NOT be a registration session for students. Registration for next year will be done at school, with staff, and available for parents to review.**

SJC rocked our socks today for World Down Syndrome Day! Our medal winners: Anyah Paalam 🥉 Lidia Jada 🥈 Girls team 🥈 for 1A/2A Ana Gonzalez 6th The team of 6 had an overall finish of 20/81 SJC is EXTREMELY PROUD of our wrestling team!!!!! For a first year of competition SJC made a huge entrance onto the high school wrestling mats.
