In Workplace Essentials, students have been learning leadership and taking charge by teaching the class different skills. The past few weeks, students learned different games from the Philippines and Eritrea, how to braid hair, solve riddles, make halo-halo, and how to do makeup. #SJCLearningInAction #WorkplaceEssentials

SJC Students travelled to Medicine Hat College on Friday, May 19th to participate in an incredible day of STEM learning!!! MHC, in partnership with CF Industries, invited SJC students to an exclusive post-secondary caliber experiential learning opportunity, STEM for a Day! The goal was to expose students to each of the following programs for primary introduction to STEM-related education at Medicine Hat College. Here are some of the programs they learned about: ~Built Environment Engineering Technician Diploma ~Environmental Biology and Reclamation Technology Diploma ~Information Technology Certificate/Diploma ~Power Engineering Technology Diploma #SJCLearningInAction #STEMForADay

Philippians 4:6 On Wednesday we welcomed Christ The King Academy grade 8 students into SJC for a morning filled with fun! Grade 8’s had the opportunity to meet their teachers and administrators for next year, tour the school and learned about everything SJC has to offer. They ended the morning with lunch and receiving a special Grad shirt. Grade 8’s we cannot wait to officially welcome you to SJC in September! #SJCGradClassOf2027 #1502DaysUntilGrad
Did you know Spring is natures way of saying let’s dance? It’s not actually but Spring makes us want to dance and what better way to celebrate than with a school dance?!? That’s right! On June 1st, SJC Student Council will be hosting a Spring into Summer Dance from 7pm-10pm. Admission is FREE and open to current SJC students ONLY. There will be a concession, photobooth and flower making stations available for purchase. SJC students participated in a Medical Skills Event at the Brooks Campus, Medicine Hat College on Thursday May 18, 2023. This event was hosted by the County of Newell and City of Brooks in partnership with Medicine Hat College and Alberta Health Services. From May 1st to 8th we celebrated Culture week with food, music, dancing, clothing, games and prayer. How blessed are we to be able to share and celebrate so much diversity in our school?!
